Questions for the new year

Hello. How've you been?
Here we are. December. I thought for this month's The Break instead of a letter I'd leave you with a few questions. Maybe this can be helpful to you when/if reflecting on this year, how you want to create intentions for the following year or simply to be present during this time. I'm not one for new year's resolutions, as I said many times here before, I try to move by seasons and not so much by the calendar year and I definitely don't start January 1st with a list of goals to accomplish. However, I do find it helpful to use December as a time to look back, reflect, take inventory and see where I want to put my energy moving forward, where I need more support, what area of my life I want to cultivate more. Before I go, I want to say THANK YOU FOR READING, for emailing me back, for being here. It means a lot to me and I appreciate your presence and your ears on the other side. See you in 2022!
So here some questions for you (you can either just sit with them or create a little ritual and write them down)

1-Who did you want close to you this year? Who are you looking forward to having near next year?

2-What was hard or difficult or challenging for you this year? What did you discover in it?

3-What moments filled your heart, with joy, tenderness or contentment?

4-Is there anything you want to leave behind or let it be for now?

5-What is sparking your attention and you want do you want to follow?

6-What are the questions you pursued and which are you still holding close to you?

7-If you close your eyes, what smell, taste, image, sound do you want to take away with you from 2021?

8-What are you looking forward to opening your arms to and receiving in the new year?

9-In which ways did you surprise yourself this year?

10-If you were to send a new year's love note to a friend but instead wrote to yourself, what would you say?

With love,
Mari
