DIALOGUES

In almost 10 years of work, I feel like I did not accumulate clients/students but instead people who shared with me their stories, their emotions, their complexities and I feel so grateful to witness their unfolding. Their becoming. It amazes me to watch people who are willing to open up and share their stories, pain and questions, whether in a group or individually. And what they get back is not a recipe for what to do or how to do it. They receive support, listening, guidance and honest encouragement.

DIALOGUES is a mentorship/practice group on self awareness, exploration and integration. It's a group for women who are in the process of transformation. In transition. In the in-between. The theme for this Dialogues is: Meeting myself where I am. This will be an opportunity to elaborate your process as you navigate this moment in your life, if it’s either a relationship transition, career transition, perhaps motherhood, grief or an internal shift beginning to take place. Using the foundations of Contemplative Practices and Psychoanalysis which north my work, we’ll create opportunities to identify and recognize emotions and parts of ourselves that need more attention and guidance. We’ll build internal bridges to give ourselves permission on certain areas of life, we’ll move gently and compassionately to figure out what it means to live at our own time, in our own rhythm, in our own bodies. We’ll look back to reflect where we are now and where are we heading. By listening, pausing, practicing, writing, asking, answering we’ll weave together this process of being in the between.

Truth is we are all very tired, exhausted and overwhelmed by all the world suffering and chaos of the last few years. Dialogues will serve as reset and recharge, a moment to be out of time. At the end of this journey I want you to be able to really see yourself as a whole and from this place of meeting yourself where you are, find more clarity, more openness, more permission, more compassion.

Who is Dialogues for?

It’s for those who are navigating a transition, either at work, in relationship, motherhood

It's for anyone dealing with an imposter who screams and paralyzes them

It’s for those who need to rescue themselves after processes of pain and mourning

It’s for those who feel somewhat stuck, without clarity and are overwhelmed

It’s for those who are looking for themselves

It’s for those who are looking for practices that support their inner exploration

You don’t need to have any meditation experience or be a regular practitioner to participate

The program

Session 1 & 2 : THE NOW

Introduction to the group and general guidelines

Situate yourself in this present moment, in this transition and in your relationship with time

Identify and recognize your parts that are paralyzed, scared, overwhelmed during this transition

Connect with what is hurting now, what is tender, what needs attention and the stories you are writing

Practice: We’ll use Mindfulness Practices to contact your presence and emotions gently, as well, as grounding breathing practices

Session 3: THE BEFORE

In an embodied way, look back to the women that came before you

Investigate parts of yourself that have been playing a role in your life for a long time to deal with certain emotions, relationships, people

Explore how certain things were taught to you and what’s the main narrative underneath

Practice: We’ll use Compassionate Practices to contact your old emotions and narratives. We’ll focus on releasing breathing exercises

SESSION 4:  THE AFTER

What are your desires?

What are you running towards?

What permission are you looking for?

Establish some truths and steps to move forward

Connect with what is missing and what is already in you  that will help you in this construction of who you are  / what you want.

Practice: We’ll use Visualization Practices to contact your future self. We’ll focus on energetic breathing exercises

SESSION 5: THE YOU-IN-BETWEEN

After walking this journey, expand on what it means to embody and inhabit yourself as you are, the in-process you. Your multiplicity.

Explore where you need to authorize yourself and give yourself permission

What is the story you want to write through this transition

Practice: We’ll use Tranta Practices to call in support and help embody the self in construction. We’ll focus on deep breathing exercises.

How & Where?

This is a small and intimate group and the sessions will be recorded but your participation is important and fundamental so that you can support each other in real time throughout the process. Each session will be broken up into 3 parts. MORE ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Mari. I'm a Contemplative Educator, Mindfulness/Compassion Teacher and Writer. My work lives in the space where Contemplative Practices, Buddhist Psychology and Western Psychotherapy/Pyschoanalysis intersect. I'm deeply interested in the complexity of human beings, and therefore an approach that is rooted in self-exploration, self-awareness, self-compassion and the process of welcoming all parts of ourselves, creating more space and stillness within.

In my practice, I support people, teams and companies in better understanding where they are  and how to get closer to the root of their suffering.  A deeper awareness of our struggles, negative patterns and blocks, cultivates clarity of one’s full experience and starts opening space for more acceptance, self-compassion and integration.

I’m trained in Contemplative Psychotherapy and have taught Buddhist Meditation for over 5 years around the world. I've incorporated in my practice, tools and teachings that support our capacity to re-establish a connection with our body, breath and mind. As a native Brazilian immigrant with Hungarian roots, living in Los Angeles by way of Spain and Mexico, my multicultural perspectives and backgrounds are continuously informing my work. As are the complexities of everyday modern life being also a wife and a working mother.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT DIALOGUES:

“Dialogues served as marker for me. It was a way to come back to myself like nothing I’ve ever experienced, thanks to Mari’s deep compassion, knowledge and acceptance. She creates a safe envoironment for us to be able to figure out our own answers, guidance. I walked away with tools, practices and wisdom that has changed me forever” - Julia T., London

“Dialogues was such an introspective and fulfilling experience. I learned a lot more than I thought about myself and my behavior patterns. Mari gave us a lot of information and with all her knowledge about these teachings I was able to understand what Mindfulness really is. I feel empowered to start my daily practice and to be able to deal with my thoughts and emotions in a much healthier way.” -  Paula S., Oregon

“I am very grateful to Mari and her consideration. Her presence is so healing and welcoming that I felt seen and heard. Dialogues is such a well-crafted course in that the curriculum really integrates Mindfulness and Psychology in a way that feels easy to understand. I felt like I finally had access to information that I didn't already know and this made my practice that much deeper. The Dialogues were a very transformative experience” - Daniele M., Lo Angeles

“I had never meditated before, I had no experience, but I wanted to learn more about these practices. What happened during Dialogues was a profound experience of learning about myself and learning that I can meditate, that I can be with myself. Mari's teaching and tools are very generous and insightful. I feel like I've just started an inner journey! " - Eva L., México
