"I come as one, but I stand as 10,000"

“ I come as one but I stand as ten thousand”

— Maya Angelou

When I first read this quote, it gave me chills and I felt like my heart expanded a bit more.

Why is it so easy for us to think of us as alone and separated?

There is me and there is you and no uncommonly, there's always a wall around us and in between us. A wall made of our own patterned thoughts and emotions, creating a conditioned reality which we live through the lens of our minds, who keep trying to constantly remind us that this is the ultimate truth.

When I read this quote, it opens up the possibility of accessing embracement from the Universe, God, or however you might call it. Perhaps it doesn't happen often, but we all have had glimpses of it.

When I read this quote, it reminds me to see the parts of me where there is the love, amongst all the other parts of pain and shadow.

It reminds me of all the layers there are within me.

It gives me the courage to dive into my own expansion.

It reminds me the part of us which knows we don't walk alone, in fact we walk this path always connected, there is just a veil preventing us to see or feel the connection.

It makes me think of the strength and the courage of the ones before us doing the work, raising consciousness and guiding others so today we can stand here more aware, more whole.
